Hi,
I'm currently encoding some soft-subbed .mkv-files (AVC, AAC and ASS) to hard-subbed avi (DivX and MP3) files using VSFilter, Avisynth, Haali's Media Splitter, CoreAVC, ffdshow, VirtualDub, Lame and DivX.
The whole reencoding seems to be done without any problem, but when I am watching the output files I see that the subtitles are not always displayed. They work for a few seconds, then they are not shown for some seconds. They often appear to late and are shown only for a few ms. It's like I'm watching the Soft-Subbed files directly and the CPU usage is at 100%, so that the subtitles are "blinking" etc.. (Hope you get what I'm trying to say). The parts of the subtitles not shown differs in each reencode (of the same input file).
In Haali's Media Splitter FAQ it says that wrong muxing can be the cause of blinking subtitles, so I tried remuxing with MKVtoolnix 2.2.0, but it didn't fix the problem.
How to fix it?
