.Ass 2 .Sup Conversion... How?

I haven't found a sub program that can do this conversion yet.

Is there one?

So far all I see is programs that can do .ass to .srt and then .srt to .sup. Is that the only way?

A bit surprised that no one here on the forums posted about this subtitle conversion.

However, through some trial and error, I found out that the following works to get the subs from .ass to .sup format:

.ass > SubReSync > Save as .srt
.srt > SubtitleCreator > Save as .sup

Although this works, the default color palette leaves something to be desired. The subs on the dvd I authored look pretty bad. Can someone tell me what to change the 4 colors to to achieve some nicer looking subtitles?
