I have been using Media player classic along with VSFilter to display subtitles. Everything been fine when I had older ATI card, I bought new nvidia 8800 gt card and now I have this serious problem.

When I load any video file that has subtitles files loaded with DirectVobSub picture is inverted and its 2 small screens instead of 1. This only occurs with video files that have subtitles files.

I have noticed that inside media player classic if i change Playback>Output directshow video to system default instead of overlay mixer then this problem is fixed. But that's worse performance and quality correct?

Why is this happening with overlay mixer playback output directshow on media player classic with subtitles loaded using directvobsub?

It seems that if I use ffdshow for both xvid and h264 then video files will play fine along with subtitles + vsfilter, but if I disable ffdshow and try to decode with cyberlink h264 or kaopei xvid codec then its back to dual video inverted...

thanks for anyone with any help.

Problem with this is that if a 720p h264 .mkv encode has subtitles inside it I cannot play it at all, it will be 2 smaller pictures playing back inverted.

Force YV12 output in the Xvid decoder settings. That should fix the problem for Xvid videos.

VSFilter 2.33 does not suffer from this problem.

A driver update (if available) might also fix the problem.
