help: vobsub displays gibberish font

I've installed win xp mce 2005 and k-lite mega codec pack.
The XP does not support my language, but the Arial font includes it.

However, although I specify the language to vobsub, it displays
gibberish characters instead of the language I chose.

Any ideas?

Remove k-lite mega codec pack!!!

Only install filters as you need them. Know what language are you specifying? And how are you using vobsub? Avisynth, MPC?

Thanks, but I opted to remove win-xp-MCE. Installed XP-pro, exact same packages and it works fine. I guess win-xp-MCE does not handle left-to-right languages such as Hebrew.
[I actually got the fonts working fine, but then the direction was wrong].
