seperate chapters, with subs

Hi guys, I ripped 2 chapters from a DVD (the IFO and VOB). I opened the IFO in AutoGK to make a little avi...and extract the subs (sub / idx files). Ok, then i used subrip to get the subs to srt format...but - even tho it was the subs for the chapters i ripped (only 2) the timings for them are related to the main movie (like over an hour through).

how can i get those subs with the right timings/cues for the new ripped chapters (vob, avi etc) whatever it may be...to start at 00:00:00 relating to the new file.

this is for some ADR/looping work, so i thought it may of been handy to have the dialoug on screen, but i only need a certain section of the film.

any ideas of help is much appreciated.

You can use SubResync to adjust the timing of your subtitle. Just change the first line to match with you avi and mostly likely the others will be adjusted accordingly. If not, adjust the last line and check if the other subtitles are alright.
