hello

i search a method to encrypt subtitle on a H264/x264 file

just encrypt , no mux in the Mkv..

Do you mean encode rather than encrypt? You would end up with better quality if you use your original DVD or capture, then it won't be encoded twice. You can use AviSynth with DGAVCDecode and VSFilter to decode then overlay the subs and then re-encode the video.

just use yamb to add the srt track.

windows media player will play it if you have ffdshow installed and the subtitles enabled

If you need them hardsubbed on the video, you will need to reencode.

I like to download avisynth, and use the textsub plugin to do this (I say again, I think we should have a sticky about hardsubbing a video file with avisynth and textsub, since this question comes up so often).

It's just as easy as it was with divx files.
I take any .srt and rename it to the name of the .mkv file, put them in the same dir and play them with zoom, gom or mediaplyer classic and voilà. If they are in syncthat's it then. If they are out of synce, well.....I used to sync visually with subtitle workshop but it doesn't preform very well under Vista 64 and it doesn't take .mkv files. Now I use with very good results I might add, under Vista64 too, Aegisub.
