I have using a Sub2DivX for putting subtitles on a divx movies. Everything works fine and a subtitles appear correctly on standalone player (Sony DVD/divx).
I have format 4:3 TV now and I'm wondering are subtitles still appearing correctly if/when I buy widescreen TV (16:9)?
How to make a compatible subtitles for different TV formats?
(using Sub2DivX)
thanks for advices

Hi!
Although I'm not personally familiar with this program, descriptions of it appear to indicate that it creates a new DivX-compressed .AVI with permanent subtitles.
If, in fact, this is so, the video would have to play with subtitles displayed on ANY format TV...

Sub2DivX multiplexing .srt subtitles to an avi file. So it isn't DivX-compressed .AVI with permanent subtitles. Created avi is like a DVD-video with subtitles...you can change subtitles ON/OFF...or create multilanguage subtitles DIVX.
With Sub2DivX user must set subtitles vertical position and
my main concern is that subtitles don't fit in screen on different TV formats (4:3 / 16:9)
