I have a library of many hundreds of lyrics files - all created in Sub Station Alpha and saved in SSA format.
These all have the full /k timings word by word.
Now I need to produce CD-G disks of the same songs with lyrics.
The problem is that most programs to produce these files use either KAR, or MID files. I can't seem to find a program that will import SSA files.
There are converters like Subtitle Workshop, and Lryic and Subtitle File Converter, and these will use the line by line timings, but ALL of them discard the word timings.
It will be incredibly boring to have to throw away thousands of hours work timing these songs word by word, and do it all again.
Can anyone think of a program or solution that can produce a word-by-word timed KAR or MID file from an SSA file?
