I can't wait for image approval. Here is a copy on Photobucket:

The question is... why is this happening?

I had the same problem once. One or more of the suggestions in the roli_bark post fixed it (it's been awhile, don't remember exactly). I don't think I had to delete the .ini file, but you can always try that if the first two suggestions don't work:

Great. I got it working nicely now. I would have searched for it but I didn't know how to word it properly so I got no hits. It still comes up maybe 3-4 times but I can live with manually doing it for only 3-4 times. Cheers, Mitch.
EDIT: It seems that on the time it fails, it's mashing two subtitles together and then it loses sync because it consider's two different times as one. Picture soon...

Quite odd... As you can see, it obviously has two subtitles overlapping each other. ..."We are the people," and "are" is underlined. is the next subtitle and it is timed differently and as they are mashed together, SubRip thinks they are one and it throws the timing off.

I do hate to triple post, but I just did GoodFellas and it didn't happen. It might be a "Taxi Driver"-only thing. I'll keep doing some more and finding out.

I haven't seen the two subs merge together again but on every IDX file I rip, it says at the end that the times are overlapping 300+ times.
Could this be because they have been de-muxed from a Matroska file?
