As mentioned in this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1035948) AutoGK has some trouble ripping episodic discs as well as subtitles. The following workaround also has some caveats left:
When converting episodic discs for my media center I usually rip all my original discs of a season as DVD9 ISOs to HD so I can later batch encode them with MultiShrink or now AutoGK. I only discovered the subtitle problem when I already had done that with the current season so I mounted each of those already ripped DVDS and ripped each ep again with DVDD to a seperate folder which takes care of AutoGK's problem with selecting the correct VTS/PGC.
So I encode each ep with AutoGK (2 audio streams, no subs) and then extract the idx+sub with Vsrip/Vobsub plugin for Virtualdub (2 subs). And now the strangest thing happens:
both subtitle streams are off! Instead of starting at second one, the "previously on" begins 1:10 minutes or so into the ep. This is very strange since I set DVDD to reset time to 00:00:00 as well as VSrip to reset time at the first selected cell.
What's weirding me out is the fact that when I watch any of the separately ripped eps with PowerDVD I get to see the subtitles from the beginning and not just 1:10 minutes late into the ep.
Of course I could adjust the timecodes manually with subresync but it's a hassle to find the correct starting point for two streams (takes several attempts) it's and not my idea of batch ripping. But how does this delay get introduced in the first place?
