Is there any way to use softsubs in Windows Media Center 2005? What I mean is, with video files that have multiple subtitle streams, is there any way to switch between them in Windows Media Center? Also, is it possible to do the same for multiple audio streams?

I'll say no. You need to learn your filters your favorite languages, ffdshow and divx6 can do that.

I tried to use the divx menu tool inside MCE and it's a pain in the ass not working.

to see the subs, you can use vsfilter. You will usually need to use haali's splitter as the source filter and set it to autoload vsfilter in the options for it. Changing subtitle items then can be accomplished by rclicking on the haali tray icon, which is about as near a solution as I know for what you want.

you want to force haali just to have this icon ?, vobsub got his own icon ...
anyway, if that haali icon react the same as divx icon, it wont work, as i said
