I have a weird problem with one of my movies that i have replaced one of his subtitle.

The prosses went ok but when i play the movie on my computer using powerdvd the subtitle show fine, but when i try to play the movie on my dvd player (pioneer dv-393) the movie played ok but with no subtitle at all (not the original or the replaced one) the dvd is new and in other movies that i have done the same this this has never happend.

So i try to play this movie on another player that i havr in my house and it's work ok as well (LG dvd).

I just want to know if it's the dvd or ther is somthing that i can do to fix this.

Thanx in adnave!!!

Hi, are the subtitles on SRT format? Also is seems this player doesn't display correctly some languages for DivX, but firmware updates may help.

More info (http://board.softpedia.com/index.php?showtopic=4295).

When you go to the Pioneer's Setup Menu, what are the options for the subtitles. Also on the playable units does the subtitles languages name shows correctly or does it shows a similar to subtitle1, subtitle2, and etc. You can also use IfoEdit to verify between the original & re-authored if the "Title Set (Movie) attributes" (subtitles) changes.

Kind Regards

I downloaded and install the latest fimeware for this player but still nothin has changed.

Pardon the delay, in reference to this & your other thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=129738), a bit surprise about some Pioneer Players with such issues, if so, hope the new line-up works as intended.
