Some of my subtitles looks really bad. The OCR obviously can't read it, - and often I can't eiter!

This one looks o.k.

This one doesn't

On this channel (DR1) most of the subtitles looks like the first one, - but on another channel (TV2) almost all looks like the second (sometimes even worse), - which pretty much makes it impossible to use the subtitle.

What have I done wrong???

VLC shows the subtitles from my original TS/MPEG streams just perfect, - and they look the same whether recorded with MythTV (Linux) or Team-Mediaportal (Windows).

My working precedure is: Cut and demux my file in Project X, - transform the .sup file to images with DVDSupTools16. OCR these with SubRip

Help me please!

hi,

try to post a short sample of the file with an subtitle perhaps this will help to understand why it doesn't work and which way to use to solve this.

Bye.

I will, - is there a way to cut a small slice from a .ts or .mpg file? Which program do I need?

There a CVS build of ProjectX which allows exporting subs in VobSub format, maybe that would suit your subtitling needs better. Unfortunately I don't remember where to get it from.

I don't understand your post. What do you mean ? I've installed JRE and I've got the same problem and question as DaDane: how to improve the subtitles extracted with projectX ?
