I have a lengthy movie (2hrs 40 min) that I would like to rip to 2 XviDs with Handbrake. However, I'd also like to create a subtitle file for each half. How would I go about doing this?

I know Handbrake only allows you to permanently burn the titles in to the picture. What program could I use to split the subtitle file where I need to (by chapter), or rip on a chapter by chapter basis?

the Vobsub ripper allows you to rip the .sub files by chapter, angle, or whatever you want.
It is called VSRip.exe.
Here, I'll find the file for you.

Edit:Here you go:
http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=VSRip

you can click on either the Main tool site, or the mirror site if you want to download it right away.

Thanks. I'm still not sure how to proceed, after selecting PGC1. There are more subfiles than there are chapters, so I don't know which cell corresponds to what. How do I go about figuring this out?
