I'm not sure if many of you are familiar with this option back in VobSub 2.23

Here's my question.
Where did this option go?

It's kind of a bummer switching from VSfilter to VobSub when I want to watch DVDs.

Thanks for your time in reading this. I hope a option similar to this comes back into VSfilter! (Or even the inbuilt MPC subtitle renderer)

Huh, I never know DVobSub had an on-the-fly OCR option. That's pretty neat, maybe VSFilter still has the old code inside it somewhere.

It's not OCR.

It seems to be something like a vector trace or something, maybe something similar to this:

But yeah, I guess there isn't much demand for this sort of thing. I guess most people are satisfied with Rip->OCR.

Still, I wonder what kind of paths are open for leaving suggestions for VSFilter?

I heard Gabest sometimes hangs out in a few IRC channels and such.
Is it worth trying to get in contact to suggest bringing this option back, and maybe tweaking?

It would seem that Gabest has lost interest in VSFilter (no changes to the guliverkli SVN repository in 9 months) and as far as I'm aware, nobody have really seen him for some time either.

Strangely, while the option is gone from the property pages since the earliest version (http://guliverkli.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/guliverkli/trunk/guliverkli/src/filters/transform/vsfilter/DirectVobSubPropPage.h?revision=8&view=markup) on the SVN, the code to do the actual pologonisation seems to still be present.
(But as I've also written in another thread, I don't want to attempt hacking it back in, someone else will have to do that.)

I hope this option will be back soon, I don't understand why there are not much people that are using this graphical enhancement ...

Please add the Polygonize option BACK to vobsub :)
