I demuxed the tracks from a .mkv file. When I remux them back together, the subtitles get messed up. Any idea what's wrong with this?

Hi!

1) What software did you use to create the subtitles when you originally created the .MKV file?

2) Why do you have to demultiplex and then re-multiplex the subtitles?

I downloaded the episode. I'm doing this just to try something out, no harm learning something new. The original plays fine, this only happens when I try to remux the subtitles. Any idea what's wrong?

Thanks.

EDIT: looks like using avisynth -> textsub("file.ass") fixes it, but how do I mux it into the mkv file with textsub, while still remaining as softsub?
