Converting a Quicktime Subtitle

Is there anyway of converting a Quicktime Subtitle (.txt) so something that e.g. VLC player can use like.sub or .ssa or .srt?

Subtitle Workshop is free and one of the best text subtitle tools available. It will allow you to open your Quicktime subtitle and export it to the format you want.

Thanks. It seems that there is no OSX app that can do this so i'll have to get a friend who has Windows to convert it for me =)
