Subtitle formatting

Is it possible to insert subtitles into a xvid video and still maintain the original formatting used in the dvd (such as in "Munich")?

Soft-subs or Hard-subs?

What exactly have you done so far. What exactly are you trying to do. What kind of formatting? (color, italics, etc.) More info is necessary.

Hi!

If you'd like to have the subtitles, in their original formatting (I presume you're referring to appearance), as a PERMANENT part of the XviD video, rip them in SSA format and use VirtualDub's "subtitler" filter to add them...
