SubRip... Undoing Mistakes

So, I'm in the OCR phase of ripping the subtitles from a DVD into SRT format, and I enter the wrong letter for a particular recognized character, and hit enter, going on to the next character in the subtitle stream. Or I might forget to turn the italics on or off for one letter. Unfortunately, there seems to be no undo function in Subrip.

This is especially annoying when 47 characters deep into a movie, so I'm wondering if there is a way to "go back" a couple of steps that isn't obviously displayed in the program? It would be great if I didn't have to keep starting over any time I make an error.

You also need to restart the whole OCR process if between the time you realized you made a mistake and the time you made it the current subtitle has changed. If you don't restart, that subtitle may remain erroneous. If you're still on the same subtitle, the OCR will process it again after editing the char matrix. However, I always restart. After all, since the chars are already in, it won't ask you to type them again.

Thanks, I figured that part. Anyway, restarting the OCR process isn't a problem for me, since it does everything automatically up to the point where I aborted (the character matrix still has the recognized characters from earlier).

Thanks for all your advice, it's saved me a good 15 minutes today, and who knows how much in the future!
