How can I get closed caption from a recorded DVD?

How can I turn closed caption into text file from a directly recorded DVD from TV cable?

What software will it do?

You can try with Vobsub.

I used VobSub_2.23.exe.

And I used vobsub ripper
>> this one made 5 to 6 files that I had no idea what they were.

Maybe something easier is appreciated in my level.
