Skiro,
It may be that it's not your DVD's fault. It's your stand alone player. I have a similar problem but with Closed Captioning instead.
Sorry. Wish I can be of more help.

@Skiro
Hi!
Please provide some additional, meaningful information.
1) Are you playing a commercial, pressed DVD, or one that you've burned?
2) If it's one that you've burned, is it a copy of a commercial DVD or something else?
2) If it's one that you've burned and NOT a copy of a commercial DVD, are the subtitles in a separate subtitle (subpic) stream on your DVD, or are they simply a permanent part of the video?

:rolleyes: Let me guess...it's a shrinked copy and he forgot to check 16:9/4:3 or the subs are placed too low

That missing of showing subtitle I found on two my DVD.
I mux all streams with muxman and then with DVDSubEdit modify my subtitle. Result is that PowerDVD show subtitle my standalone DVDplayer did not.
Then I tried with same project (with muxman, and yes I save previous project) without DVDSubEdit and subtitle are showing in PowerDVD and standalone.

Sounds like you have to change (or have erroneously changed) a setting in DVDSubEdit...
