View Full Version : subrip uses timeline that is written in DVD. I can't fix this

1. DVD with title1 was split into title1, title2, title3. Title2 was deleted. Title1 and title 3 was joined by dvd2one to form a title1.

2. I used the subrip to get a srt on the newly made title1. I have this problem that the srt forms an offset at the position of old title3 in the newly made title1.

3. I concluded that subrip uses the timeline that was written in the DVD and not the real timeline.

What should I do to fix this problem?

Any other subtitle ripping software? Or am I just missing some commands in a subrip software?

You can use Subtitle Worksop to fix it: select the subtitles that are too late, and set the delay to negative the duration of Title2.

Thanks for the information.

Subtitle Workshop deleted srt's all x1 x2 y1 y2.

does srt work without x1 x2 y1 y2 in all standalone DivX players? srt without x1 x2 y1 y2 worked in LG LDA-511, but i am not sure if it works with others. what if other players display below the screen that can not seen?
