Different colors in the same sub, how?

Hi people! I watched a dvd these days that had that kind of subs, it was a japanese anime, and in the songs, the translation appeared in yellow and the Kana's (yeah, it's a separate subtitle) in white, just like fansubbers do, and in the top of the screen. anybody knows how to do that effect with a simple tool? and a karaoke effect, is there anyway? i guess maestro sbt can do it, using ssa styles, but i want to reauthor it only with ifoedit, to maintain the originallity of the dvd. so, the subs have to be in sup format. any sugestions?

If you save your MaestroSBT subs in .SON format, you can then use son2vsub to create .idx/.sub files, then use subtosup to create a .SUP file.

Make sure you test your final product on a standalone player.

Are you sure it is not "burned in hardsubs" ?
since some shows DO HAVE japanese lyrics on the OP/ED,
they are not always added by fansubbers.

I don't know if there are any programs that can make a .sup with more than 4 colors, but DVD subs can have more than 4 - see this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=110621) for a demo.
