Ass to sup(DVD subtitle) with ass Karaoke feature retain...possible?

I have an ass file with Karaoke feature and want to mux the subtitle in a video and produce a vob that can be player on standalone player.

Is it possible to convert ASS to sup with the advancd feature of ass retain (karaoke)?

(I know I can hardsub and reencode, but if is it possible to produce a sup with karaoke from an ASS file, I think it is better (remux>reencode, selectable sub>hard sub)

No and maybe. the softsub is impossible, because the Bitrate of Subpicture streams are limited. The normal(from mark to mark in one frame) can be done when the bitrate is low. its better to give a alternate video, one without karaoke and one with hardencodet karaoke.
