Player that supports subtitle delay/extention

Is there a player out there that can easily support subtitle delay or extention of the display period.

Sometimes subtitles run too fast.. I know of tool called subadjust, and it has "delay expander".. but that requires creating a new subfile, I wondering if there is a divx player that can do that built into the player..

While the movie is playing and after the subtitles are loaded into the player, right click on the media window --> Subtitles --> Subtitle Properties.

You will get 3 options:

Subtitle time correction +
Subtitle time correction -
Manual correction

thanks you, but this is not what I ask for..

the subs are in sync. but I just want them to be on the screen longer than normal (if possible). for example.. someone says:

"hello this is john"

and this disappears after 1 second.. it would be nice if I can tell the player to "hold" the subtitle for 1 or 2 extra seconds than what is in the subfile.. to let slow readers time to read. of course if there is a lot of talking then you can not hold longer. the tool I mention above can do this time expanding.
