Hi all,
I am the director of a short student film called "Eve" which is in the final stages of post-production for release on December 13th on DVD (for eventual free download once festival exclusivity run is over).
What I'm trying to do is get a set of subtitles done for it in these languages:
English
English for Hearing Impaired
Dutch
German
French
Italian
Spanish
Japanese
Chinese
I'm going to do the English ones myself obviously, but from there I need subtitles generated for the other languages which I can't do.
What I'm after is a few people who are willing to translate the English subtitle file (in .SUP format?) into subtitle images for insertion as streams on a DVD (using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Encore), by 8th December (as DVD needs to be replicated for release on the 13th).
What will you get in return? Well, you'll get an early copy of the DVD with proper cover etc, but more importantly you'll be credited for the subtitles for whichever language you do.
The DVD will eventually be released online for free, as it's a student production. You'll be able to download it via BitTorrent hopefully, since there's no way I have the bandwidth to do it any other way, and the DVD will contain a wealth of extra features to enjoy such as a making of documentary, commentary tracks by me and the lead actors, visual effects featurette, stills gallery, audition footage, a PSP compatible version of the film in the DVD-ROM section and lots more :)
Anyway, if anyone is interested in doing this I'd be most appreciative, or alternatively if you know of someone or somewhere on the web where I can get this done for free that would also be great.
I'll be using the freeware Subtitle Creator 1.92 to generate the English version as soon as the final audio is in place so the frame timing is accurate, and the film itself has very little dialogue so it's not a big job (it's a ten minute film with maybe forty lines of dialogue, most less than ten words).
