I'm doing a DVD where I need to grab 20 trailers or highlights from commercial dvd's.

Video/Audio is no problem. But getting the subtitles is a b*tch.

My workflow is:

- ripping audio/video/subs with dvddecrypter
- using subrip to OCR it, save as .srt (= full lenght subtitle)
- cut out the part i need with subtitle workshop
- import the .srt into DVDlab

But isnt there an easy way because I need to rip the WHOLE freaking subtitle in Subrip (from the whole movie) and use subrip for OCR (not errorproof and takes to long).
Isnt there any other way of doing this? I dont get why we cannot use the RAWsub that dvddecrypter and smartripper can save!
Why is it so hard to 'rip' subtitles to use for DVD again?
