SSA/ASS karaoke playback problem.

alright guys i need some help. i've got both vobsub and vsfilter installed, and .ssa/.ass subs are showing up with the video. however, karaoke or any other special effects don't work properly. delayed highlighting of each letter isn't working for karaoke. also effects like banner aren't working neither. i really have no idea what's wrong, i tried reinstalling vobsub a few times and no luck.

any help would be appreciated. :)

For dynamic subtitle effects like karaoke to work in DirectVobSub, you need to disable subpicture pre-buffering in its configuration, under the "Misc" tab. This requires slightly more CPU power, but should be fine on modern PCs.

that worked!! thx alot dude. those effects just worked on my previous windows installation somehow, so i had no idea i have those uncheck that option :p
