Burning in subtitles in to video

Hi i would like to know the best way how can i burn in external subtitles(.sub, srtt, txt) in to video (.avi) file, because some hardware's DVD/DivX players displays very small subtitles, so i ned software which can burn in subtitles in to video without new compresion. I tried this with AutoGK (i press Ctrl+F8) and load external subtitle file) and compress it in new avi file but i can't change the font,color and size of new internal subtitle, so if anybody knows the good program for that let reply me.

You can make it into a SSA file with styling information, and then use TextSub() to hardsub that onto the video.

You dont need to convert to SSA.

Install VobSub (option: TEXTSUB FOR VIRTUALDUB). Do you know how to create an AVI file with VirtualDubMOD?

VIDEO >> FILTERS >> ADD >> TEXTSUB >> open your sub (SRT, SUB, SSA...) and choose font size, color and position.

Then you can now start the 2-pass XviD process. ;)

No i dont like to use Virtual Dub because it's to tough for me, so i would like to know is there any other way to burn in subtitles into video file without new compression, and which software should i use

There is no way to modify the video (= add hardcoded subtitles) without recompression.
