i just got a divX movie with a seperate *.srt file, my Dvd player, plays DivX, so i burnt it, the subtitles work fine, everything is in sync, the only problem is that the subtitles are white, and when a particular scene is bright, the subtitles are unreadable, which as you can imagine detracts from the enjoyment of the movie.
My question, is, HOW to make a black bar, for the white subtitles to sit on, therefore being readable all the time ??

And NOOO there isnt and never will be a firmware upgrade for the player, and its no good saying, yeah its possible to do it, then leaving it at that, i came here hoping for some concrete answers, not ppl who enjoy talking in Yoda like riddles, to the n00bs.
please, i need answers !

any help, is good.

Not sure this will help you but you may want to have a look:

Some Denver dvds had probs with srt files. Changing font/color ( I believe, and I repeat I'm not sure) should help
