Dunno if this is the right place to post.

I had to reencode my audio tracks since the channel mapping was broken. Problem: now my tracks are larger, and both video and audio do not fit on a cd anymore.

Could I add something to the command line -azid( -c normal ) -dimzon( -dllname bse_Nero7WA.dll -6chnew -vbr_streaming -codecquality_high -aacprofile_he ) -ota( -d 0 -g max ) to fit a specific size ?

And why are the file bigger now ? (I saw something on the forum about new internal audio settings in Nero 7.x)

But for now, is it possible to reduce the size for future encoding with -vbr_streaming or shoudl I use another preset ?

The file are much bigger now, aren't they ? What did nero ? Increased the quality of -vbr_streaming ?

VBR mode based on psy model, Nero performs multiple tweaks in Nero7 AAC psy...

well...just look around the target bitrate of your transcoded file and you'll see that this is not equal to 256 kbps. (5.1 encoding with Nero AAC is very special concerning the bitrates values).

SO what shoudl i do now ? Have to end with a specific target size. which command line should I use ?

Moreover, strangely, I cannot encode to 5.1 aac with the gui from nero.... :confused:
