now supports mpeg4 H.264/AVC
according to this announce. Have anybody tested nero digital avc compatibility?

dunno my friend i was just asked wether it's compatible with nero digital. today you have to install the full NVE 3.x to have your nero digital titles playable. it would be so nice if a standalone player can do the dance...

Did you perhaps enable HW decoding? I had the same problem with version 6 and after disabling the HW decoding it worked.

Yes, I do use HW Decoding. Anyway, if that is the problem then it is OK. I like MPC for my MP4 videos.

I had this problem. Just uninstall WinDVD 7 and 6, then reinstall WinDVD 7 again. Here worked.

BTW, someone has black screens blinking sometimes when TrimensionDNM is enable? Movies like "Contact" and "Lethal Weapon 2", per example, show this problem. I see WinDVD7 turning off Trimension for a few seconds, and then reanable; this process causes the fast (but weird) black screens blinking.

When U enable TrimensionDNM, a black screen appear fast; it's normal, ok. But this problem appear all the time, I mean, each 10 or 15 minutes, and I don't need to do anything; just watch the movie. Any idea? Oh! Just to remember: this problem doesn't happen in WinDVD 6.

Ps.: sorry for my bad english; portuguese is my official languange.

Oki, I was never able to enable Trimension for DVDs. Since I use WinDVD only for DVDs, that feature has always been useless to me.

But you can activate it for any hard disk videos you might have.

Where did you find that information? I am still with no clue about my problem.

Intervideo updates WinDVD without any notification. I hate it! This new version (I get it today) of WinDVD 7 doesn't support Trimension anymore (it's because WinDVD 7 has a lot of bugs with this tecnology, I think).

I suggest you to download WinDVD 6, that works perfectly (including Trimension tecnology).

Hugs

I am afraid that WinDVD6 is not working for me either. I tried several DVDs, for instance "The 5th Element" region 2. WinDVD6 gives me this information:

Code:
Version:
    6.0 B06.161
Navigation:
    Type: DVD
    Region: 2
    Drive: D:
    TV System: PAL.

        Bitrate: 7.800 Mbps
        Framerate: 25.000 Hz
        Resolution: 720x576
        Aspect ratio: 16x9
Audio:

        Audio Device: directsound
        S/PDIF: None

    Output:
        Sample Rate: 48 KHz
        Bits per Sample: 16
CPU:
    Name: AMD Athlon(tm) Processor
    Family:6(Gen:7) Model:4 Stepping:4

        Hyper-Threading: Not supported, Not enabled
    Instruction support:
        Intel MMX: Enabled
        Intel SSE: Not enabled

        AMD 3DNow!: Enabled
        AMD Enh 3DNow!: Enabled
        AMD 3DNow! Pro: Not enabled
You can think that this processor is to old but it is not working in a P IV 2.8HT either. I checked also mi monitor refresh rate and the system is configured at 1024x768x32@75Hz.

Try to install KaZaA Codec Pack here: http://www.codecguide.com/download_mega.htm

Try to download "RefreshLock" too, because WinDVD 6 locks refresh rate in 60Hz (blarg) when Trimension is activated. RefreshLock locks in any refresh you want (and that your monitor/VGA supports, of course) before WinDVD can change it.

Good luck!

Useless because I could never enable it for DVDs, only for Hard Disk videos.

Weird. But you can't enable Trimension in avi, wmv, mov etc. files, do you?

Thanks Ice =A= for the idea but I already unchecked the hardware acceleration. Maybe Rash did it too. It looks like we both have the same problem.

Thanks Delerue, I'll try RefreshLock tomorrow. It is too late now.

Can it be a problem with Interlaced MPEG2 movies??? All region 2 movies I have are interlaced.
