Joining VOBs?

Hi folks,

I've got a hard time trying to backup a couple of my DVDs containing 2 parts of one movie. I'd like to burn them on one DVD. I know how to do it (using DVD Shrink) with 2 titles, but I'd like to do it in one title. I was trying to join movie VOBs using standard described VOB Edit procedure (renaming as VTS_01_001.VOB ... VTS_01_006.VOB and applying VOB Edit), but the result is useless. After I create IFO files in this VOBset with IFO Edit, my PowerDVD has a hard time to see this movie beyond join point, while standalone DVD players do to see after join point at all.

I've also tried to demultiplex the VOBs set - and I got M2V file none of video editors/authoring programs can see beyound join point.

All that means VOB Edit does not do the right job. How can I join my VOBs?

use dvd author free for 30 days from www.pegasys-inc.com

just add both movies to one track and it will make
them into 1 vob sequence.

you can also cut bits of movies out, add other movie parts in,
create chapters, and generally edit vobs in any way you can think of.

(I use it for editing ads out of off air recordings and it's dead easy)

ok try this
combine your main movie vobs using dvd2one in join mode

then use Vobblanker to replace the original movie part 1 vobs
with the vobs that resulted from the dvd2one join. That way
you keep the menus on the original dvd intact.

Dude, that 1 second pause won't kill you. You're wasting 10 hours to save 1 second.
