external dvd player + audigy

Hi,
I can to connect my external DVDPlayer to my audigy?..I wanna to hear 5.1 speakers of my pc..

Thx..

ps: players is Amstrad DV250 (optical out /ac3 out/)

I never heard of a soundcard that can input 5.1...

yes, audigy II can, or 5.25'' bay expansion for audigy; it has ac3 (yellow pin) or spdif optical in...
