charlie chan

Hope im not breaking any rules for asking, but I have an old collection of charlie chan videos that im trying to put on dvd. They are protected, so im having problems doing this. Any suggestions?

The videos are vhs format. I have my vcr attached to my pc into my tv card, ATI200. alot of my tapes are macro free I guess, they download fine, but some like these charlie chan tapes, also my old Disney tapes, Mary poppins, Three Musketeers,, I get a blank screen, just the sound comes out.

That's not the effect usually associated with Macrovision. Macrovision (in the U.S.) on VHS tapes usually exhibits itself as gradual brightening and darkening. I believe a later version, primarily in the UK, created a wide solid white swath across the middle of the image...

#1 son recommends you read the capture guide. Get wet with virtualvcr....lots of reading ahead of you.
