I've tried reading many guides and tried googling and searching this forum. I am trying to figure out how to seperate subtitles from a TV series that was tied together by 1 IFO file.

What happened so far , I was able to split the shows into the seperate avi files. I used the auto split function of Vobsub to cut the sub,idx file down to just the first ep (21min) and everything worked fine.

Now my problem is for ep 2 and 3. I can split the sub and idx down but the IFO file is still reading the timings for the first episode. I'm guessing I need to play with IFOedit to erase the sub timings for ep1 and change the time 22min back to 00:00?

Before I spent many more hours messing with it I thought I'd some with some experience. Please help me :)

I think I'd use subrip to delete portions you don't want, then zero & adjust timings -- you might have to fine tune your timings though, merging subs, testing, re-adjusting.

Another way would be to use SCC Tools to strip CC data, which would give you a text file -- simple then to delete parts you don't want, getting just one episode. Use Subtitle Workshop to zero then adjust timings. Downside is you might have some extra editing: Sometimes CC is all caps, & while SW will convert, it isn't perfect.

Cool thnx for tips. Will try that later tonight.

I tried another lazy way again and had DVD Decrypter demux the sub files but they dont seem to work for anything.
