does anyone know of good software for capturing vid camera stuff onto computer(eg my holiday), prefer one that u can choose modes eg vob/mpeg/avi. Got windvd but it wont capture from the video camera it only seems to work for what i have.

Got imagemixer with vcd ver 1.1 and it lets me capture but only in mpeg and the editing facilites are very basic.

Any help would rock. :)

The software that comes with ATI' AIW cards will do all of that plus with the WDM2AVI wrapper will allow you to use VD & VirtualVCR. You will need a ATI 9000 or spinoff.

Sitting Duck, is your camera DV? If so, you should do research in the DV forum (http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=59).
