Hi all,
i own a Hauppauge wintvpci FM stereo(nicam) and i use it to capture my favorite programs and many times to burn them to cds.
I think that in real-time(CBR) capturing xvid gives better results than other codecs without dropping any frames.I usually use 352x288(PAL) and the software that gives me full a/v synch is avi_io.Others(like virtualdub) have synch problems for me(any suggestions??).
I like to ask you what is better?to capture directly to a low bitrate(something like 800 for example) in order that the output video fits in one cd or is it better to capture at a higher bitrate and then reencode the avi at a lower bitrate??Which one should it give the best video??
THX
