Hi there,

I made lots a SVCD's with DVD2SVCD, i am using 1.0.7b4 + CCE 2.5 right now.

I tryed to rip Romeo must die (region2 PAL)
I dont use internal ripper from DVD2SVCD but i use DVD Decrypter.
My rip did run smootly as always no problems at all in the ripping period.
So i burned images, and put them in my standalone, but movie is started with some kind a trialer and the sound was already began with the real movie part, so when the trailer was ended, was sound already lots more further than movie it self when movie was playing.
Subs where working ok there was no sync problem there at all.
I think there was no sound for that trailer at the begining and DVD2SVCD grab the movie audio stream.

My question is, if i start to rip like in Q46 thus drop some chapters from the begining till the trailer ends and rip again will audio and video be synced?

Two things.
1. Whether or not you think this is not a ripping issue There is no support unless you use the included rippers and I really do believe this is a ripping issue. Honestly.
2. Upgrade to the latest version

Pretty simple. Try again ripping with the internal routines and the latest version. If you still have this problem post again with your log file just like you did.

As far as your question goes. The only way to know is to try it. That is not a slight that is the truth.

If you had used internal routines or Vstrip the trailer would not have been there and you, most likely, would not be having this problem. If you wanted it. You would have been better off doing it seperately.

thx,

I'll give a try with the new version and internal ripper tommorow, the reason why i think it wasnt ripper issue has to do with my all other rips went good (i am talking about more 20 rips here) but you newer know ;)

I will tell you a little secret, but keep it between us.
Other rippers work 80% of the time no problem, but Internal Routines works 95% of the time no problem and is the only way the Author and most of us have any control over the source. We have no common point to be able to help if you use something outside the included rippers so we really can't help.

SmartRipper also did something different at version 2.4 and above that seems to cause problems with DVD2SVCD far more often then the 2.3x versions.

This is the only reason we always ask if you have problems re-rip with the two included rippers. This way we can be assured of the way the data is handled and then elimate that from the equation.

In your case you also ripped the trailer as part of the rip. This is very uncommon and is the X factor here. Nobody has experience with this so nobody can help.

Yes Internal routines, solve the problem, no trailers thus.

Thanks man.

I know i cant trust, DVD Decrypter now ;)
