well tell me now , where to find those specific applications ??

I've already delete two of them and put the new ones but didn't worked

Unless Atak mentions otherwise (I don't think he is using the 10bit depth version) just download the 32bit 8bit-depth and 64bit 8bit-depth versions from that site under encoder (x264.exe):

On all sites I found , there are just One version : x264.exe....
That's my problem....I need two of them to work well
When you download the x32 version simply rename it x264_x86.exe and copy over (same goes for the x64 version). That doesn't work?

@benjyv, I left that dll file alone and replaced the old x264*.exe with a newer version and it works for me. I have re-encoded about 10 jobs now.

FYI, I used the binaries from BD-RB since I figured that jdobbs has done a lot of testing. You just have to rename them to like RipBot's.

Code:
- Updated the included version of X264.EXE to the
  latest release (r2044).
- Updated the included version of X264-64.EXE to
  the latest release (r2044).

So what's the benefit of converting to 720p instead of 1080p if the file size and kbps remain the same?
if a single bit of data has to hold 1920x1080 px or 1280x720 px
which do you think is gonna look better?

obviously a single bit of data doesn't hold a full i-frame...but that's just to put into perspective/understandable terms

There are two methods (that I am familiar with) ...

You can build these forced subtitles into the picture, or just leave them as an optional selection.

Once you have loaded the movie into Ripbot264:

Go to "Properties" -> "Permanent Subtitles" -> "Build Into Picture" ... select the FORCED english subtitles. This should build the subs into the picture.

The other option is "Selectable Subtitles" -> "+" -> select the FORCED english subtitle.

This makes the subtitle selectable without building into the picture...meaning, you can either use it or not use it during the movie.

For me though, I go one step further and when the movie is finished encoding, I use MKVMerge and give the subtitle a "forced" flag. This way its not built into the picture, but is forced anyway. (maybe ripbot gives a "forced" flag? but im not sure, so I just use MKVMerge)

I use bdsup2sub to add forced flags to subs - this is when keeping it in .sup form (avchd / bd5 / bd9 / bd25)
this does the same thing (with players) as crackinhedz was describing. it forces the subtitles to show, but they're not part of the picture and can be shut off

unfortunatly not ... i'm waiting for this feature a while now but don't wanted to bother atak with that. would be nice if this could be implemented.

Hi Atak,

Did you think that ripbot264 can be paused sometimes in your futur developpement suggestions? Did you already got that idea? Im using my laptop to convert some other project and would like to pause sometimes and resume at home when im back.

THanks.

Which is the right syntax for these parameters to be written within RB code box ???

--psy-rd 1.20:0.20
--me-range 32
--aq-mode 1:0.80

The above parameters are using MeGui syntax....

Can you increase subtitle font size when converting BD to MKV with hardcoded subs?

Has anyone used InterFrame with RipBot? I've been using RipBot for a while now and would like to know what script works best with RipBot to create interframes.

I put a script in from the MeGui guide and left it at the Medium preset, ran it through RipBot 2-Pass encoding, but the interpolation seems to have bad frames in it in throughout the video.

Do I need to do single pass encoding with it?

There is nothing I can do. However you can always use Sleep/Hibernate function in windows.

sleep / hibernate doesn't work in my case. sounds like it might work for 8ternity though
if I'm wanting to pause it...it's so I can free up resources to do something else on my PC, not because I want to shut off my PC.
but, if there's no way you can add it, then it doesn't matter.
thanks for the reply =)

I am not sure if this will help you out but here is what I do when I want to free up resources for other computer activities while encoding. I have a quad core processor so while x264 is doing its thing I go into task manager and set the affinity of x264 to use less cores. This is one method I know of but if you don't have a multi-core processor I don't think it will do you much good. Just a suggestion for you to ponder.

MeGui --> RipBot

--me-range 32 --> --merange 32

--aq-mode 1:0.80 --> --aq-strength 1:0.80 I'm not sure if numbers are proper written

--psy-rd 1.20:0.20 --> -- ??? Here is my last issue

Can someone help me ????
