MULTIAVCHD won't load files

I did a capture from my cable box using a Hauppauge PVR. The file is MPEG 2 TS. When I try to load it in MULTIAVCHD it doesn't offer it as a choice like it doesn't recognize the file and I don't get that file to choose from. Why is this happening and how can I fix this?

1. suggestion: Change the title of your post to "MULTIAVCHD won't load files".
2. suggestion: Demux/mux your files to mkv container (hint: mkvmerge GUI) and try again.
Multiavchd is somewhat picky in container formats.
What does Mediainfo say to your files?
And what is the suffix of your files? (m2ts, mts, ts)?
If in doubt post a mediainfo info of a corresponding file and we will see.
Did you try a simple renaming to (m2ts, mts, ts)?
I dont know anything about your Hauppauge PVR or the program you use for capturing...
