You wrote you are using Belight 0.21 Stable.
You need a mp3 codec (Lame 3.9*) and other codecs in Belight folder.
Belight/Besweet does not rip the vobs from your media: DVD/CD.
You have to copy the vobs to your harddrive first.
Or use a DVDRipper in case the Vobs are encrypted.
Just tested with Belight 0.21 and Lame.exe and it works

Taurus

Thx for the help. I had downloaded lame 3.9 but it didnt work My mistake was that I was trying to directly rip for my dvd. Once I copied the dvd to my hard-disk it worked like a charm

Thanks all

I see that BeLight uses a lot of exe and dll files. Can somebody upload for example at www.sendspace.com all BeLight directory including all tools (updated) for all encodes from the gui? For a new user is hard to find all tools just reading the log file.

enjoy,
Mtz

Besplit and sox still missing but I don't know if I'll use them. For testing I was trying to make an ogg and BeLight gave me an error. I don't use ogg; i just reported.

DTS ES 6.1 surround

I'm encoding Blade Trinity with AutoMKV...
I prefer to transcode the audio tracks rather than use the 'copy original' option...
I like to include a stereo and surround version since stereo often sounds better on low-end systems and a 2-pass volume boost often helps all round...

Blade Trinity even has a DTS ES 6.1 (7 channel) surround... does anyone know when BeSweet/Belight might support AAC/MP4 6.1 surround... ???

Pascal

btw
Is there a way to convert DTS 6.1 to MP4 6.1 ...

I'm not sure that an aac encoder supports the correct mapping for 7 & more channels. Actually, I haven't tested with these kind of sources. So, if you can provide a sample I'll look at this.

I've uploaded Blade Trinity Chp1 DTS 6.1 ... even at 31 MB it was pretty big though the complete track trundles in at a whopping 650 MB...

Rather bizarrely, QT7 Pro can generate AAC-LC at anything up-to 8No discrete (full frequency) channels: -

Cheers
