Anyone interested in reverse-engineering Windows Media Player APIs?

Around March to August 2019 the blog website windowsreport.com reported that certain features were not working or were broken in Windows Media Player, suggesting that Microsoft themselves are poorly maintaining the software being included in later updates for Windows 10.

It's speculated that Microsoft doesn't care about WMP being Deprecated, or they don't bother to bug test their Windows 10 updates to make sure that WMP still works.

Is anybody interested in reverse-engineering several of Windows Media Player's API components (presumably DLL files), so that we don't have to have software & game developers using WMP and other outdated Microsoft Multimedia APIs anymore? (For example; the "Cross-application syncing" feature used by several Windows PC software and games?)

Thoughts and comments are welcome here.
