I just used 2.19. I noticed a huge performance improvement with Neo_FFT3D.

I don't know where it comes but it is almost the same speed as without it.

- Without it
27.35 fps

- Neo_FFT3D(bt=3, y=3, u=2, v=2, sigma=2)
24.88 fps

I don't remember exactly but I think in the past it was around 5 fps.

I'm sure this is news to almost no one here, but I just switched to StaxRip after using both ffmpeg cli and Handbrake and just wish I moved over sooner. StaxRip fits my needs extremely well and makes using AviSynth substantially easier.

One thing, I'm curious about though... is it possible to have StaxRip extract a Dolby Vision RPU from a source file and inject it into the destination file?

Well, I prefer RipBot264....

As for DV rpu's, you have spent a fair bit of time on the DDVT thread, it's a pretty easy process to do after your encoding,
but it might be a little complicated to do within another app (I could be wrong).

And I think -QfG- is only going to make it easier to do...

Not extract, but inject/encode.
For extraction I use the neat, yet quite unknown: HDR-Multi-Tool-GUI from github.
The insert location in Staxrip depends on the selected encoding method. With NVENC(H265) it's in the VUI Options

2.17 and 2.18 and 2.19 on Win10P64: Drag-and drop of a .avs onto Source drop region, or loading an .avs script via file manager collapses StaxRip.
2.16 works. Can anybody repeat that ?

A different system Win7U64SP1: 2.19 throws CLR20r3 Error, 2.16 works.
.net Incompatibilties ?

Hi. I'm using Staxrip to convert HDR into SDR format with this DGTonemap method https://github.com/staxrip/staxrip/w...eview-possible

My goal is replicate same color output to this https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?d1=16...90&i=9&l=0&a=1

But instead it went like this, horribly overexposed

Then I set DGHable(exposure=1.0) and resulted like this. Better but color sightly washed

another comparison
https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?d1=16...82&i=2&l=0&a=1

Any help to get video converted like the caps-a-holic site?

Hi, I'm using Staxrip 2.6 to get ride off some noise in a video. I'm using temporal degrain 2 for that purpose but I notice that works incredible slow (0.6 fps) because it's using only un cpu core and apparently none of the cudas of my gpu. I'm wondering if I could take some advantage of the hardware with this filter or any other in Staxrip that works the same in order to speed up the process.

System
Ryzen 7 5700x (8core 16 threads)
Nvidia RTX 3060 ti
32 GB ram
Windows 10 64bit

Thanks in advance for any help.

If that wasn't a typo, that build is over 2 years old

You might want to see what SMDegrain filters do for you, I'm sure there are a few more options in the newer builds.

Good luck.

Hello, i switched from bdrebuilder to staxrip because bdrebuilder doesn't support VCEEncC h265 (AMD) and QSVEncC h265 (Intel).

I don't have much experience in encoding.

However, I have a problem with VCEEncC h265 where my HDR information is lost. MediaInfo shows:

Source:
Video
ID : 1
Format : HEVC
Format/Info : High Efficiency Video Coding
Format profile : Main 10@L5.1@High
HDR format : SMPTE ST 2086, HDR10 compatible
Codec ID : V_MPEGH/ISO/HEVC

After encode with StaxRip VCEEncC h265:
Video
ID : 1
Format : HEVC
Format/Info : High Efficiency Video Coding
Format profile : Main@L5@High
Codec ID : V_MPEGH/ISO/HEVC

Why the HDR information are missing? And why it change the format profile? Can anyone help me? What i have to change in the settings?

If I encode with QSVEnc h265 (Intel), then the information remains the same as in the source. however, it takes longer, so I would like to encode via AMD.

Thank you

Regards from germany
