Suggestion for building a video wall
Hello,
My boss wants to build a video wall with 6 screens. We want to use it watching videos. I tried to search for information, and find some websites. I don't know much about this, but it seems a video a controller can helps me build video wall... http://www.advantech.com/video-solution/ http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/so..._display_wall/ The two websites look professional. Do I need to use a video wall controller like this? |

With 6 screens it's possible to just use a single AMD video card with Eyefinity. Most cards only support up to 4 monitors but there are cards which support 6 (arrange 2 rows of 3 monitors as a single large monitor) :
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129274 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131474 But note that unless the monitors/tvs have mini display port connectors, you'll need to buy mini-displayport to hdmi /dvi ACTIVE adapters, which cost about 30$ each: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814999034. Even so, it would probably be cheaper than a custom Advantech or Matrox solution. |
