thanks for your reply. Its basically like this. The preferences to chose which action happens after which selection and it's playback end is only possible if you have a top and trackmenu combination. However that combination never makes any sense at all for a single movie. The track menu is the actual main menu for everything and the top menu is just a filler which would only make sense if you had 2 movies so you could decide which movie you chose and then have a functioning main menu for each of theese movies. However for a single movie situation it's just a pre-main menu which only purpose it is to enter the real main menu. So the only way to create a proper menu for a single movie would be to create a track menu combination but then you are limited with your options whysoever. I uploaded a simple variant of such a menu here for you to check: https://workupload.com/file/NZcUmU4x77L
if you check on the bonus menu you see that it is only able to do a play all and return to the page one of the main menu instead of returning to page 2 after each selection. Thanks a lot for looking into this

I took a look at the example Blu-ray. The TOP MENU is comprised of a series of M2TS files, one M2TS file per menu page, all of which are multiplexed, i.e. each M2TS file includes both the menu background video and IG. As a result, there's no way for me to look over the menus in BDedit. The only menu that's not multiplexed is the POPUP MENU for the feature presentation. Additionally, the authoring software you're using creates an overly complicated navigation command structure as seen from the BDMV tab in BDedit. Even if I could follow what's been done there I still wouldn't be able to determine what changes if any need to be made there and within the menus due to the menus being multiplexed. Below are some notes I compiled when looking over the Blu-ray.

TITLES
TOP MENU (Title 0)
MOVIE (Title 1)
No idea what this is used for. (Title 2)
TRAILER (Title 3)
OUTTAKE (Title 4)
VHS-INTRO (Title 5)
No idea what this is used for. (Title 6)

MPLS/M2TS/Duration (Movie & Bonus Features)
00000/00000/2s | Movie with POPUP MENU, SubPath 01003. (Returns to "Start Movie" afterwards.)
00001/00001/2s | Mirrors 00000.mpls/m2ts but doesn't include a POPUP MENU.
00002/00002/2s | Trailer (Plays Trailer, Outtake, and VHS-Intro prior to return to "Start Movie".)
00003/00003/6s | Outtake (Plays Outtake and VHS-Intro prior to return to "Start Movie".)
00004/00004/8s | VHS-Intro (Plays VHS-Intro prior to return to "Start Movie".)
00005/00005/3s | Blank Screen (No idea what this is meant for.)

MPLS/M2TS (Menus)
01000/01000 | MAIN (Start Movie\Chapter\Settings\Bonus)
01001/01001 | BONUS (Trailer\Outtake\VHS-Intro\Prev page, takes you back to Chapter option.)
01002/01002 | SETTINGS (Audio 1\Audio 2\Audio 3\Return, takes you back to Settings option.)
01003/01004 | CHAPTER (Chapter 1\Back, takes you back to Start Movie option.)
NA/01003 | POPUP MENU (Audio/Subtitles)

I wasn't able to determine what Title 2 and Title 6 represent. I also wasn't able to determine what files 00001.mpls/m2ts are used for. The files mirror 00000.mpls/m2ts, but don't include the POPUP MENU (01003.m2ts). Looking over Title 0 (TOP MENU) it's clear that GPR1024 stores the value of the playlist to be played. When navigating the menus a value is assigned to GPR1024. This value is then used to determine which playlist is played when navigating the menus and when returning to the TOP MENU from the feature presentation or one of the bonus features. Not sure if that's helpful to you or not.

That being said, have you considered taking an outside the box approach. I create Blu-ray's using BDedit rather than traditional Blu-ray authoring software. (A number of examples can be found starting on Page 2 of the forum thread, here.) Well, a few other applications are involved. For the menu graphics I use Photoshop and PNG Quantizer. To encode my menu backgrounds I use FFMPEG (MP4) and BD Rebuilder (MPLS/M2TS/CLPI). If I need the menu background to be in a frame rate other than 23.976 (such as 24 or 29.970) I re-author at that point using multiAVCHD. Any videos not associated with the menus I author to Blu-ray using multiAVCHD. The resulting MPLS/M2TS/CLPI files for a given video are added to the Blu-ray I'm working on being renamed prior if needed, the playlists then being edited using BDedit to account for any change in the original filenames made and/or other requirements for the particular Blu-ray.

thanks for going into it

TITLES
(Title 2)--> is the same as Title 1. This is the chapters menu so to say. I basically have to add the main movie twice in order to have a chapters menu.
(Title 6) --> this is an intro it plays before the main menu starts

MPLS/M2TS/Duration (Movie & Bonus Features)
00001/00001/2s | --> this is a duplicate of 00000/00000 and has to be replaced with it / the 00001.mpls should be linked with 00000.m2ts instead of 00001.m2ts so I can delete the 000001.m2ts file.
00005/00005/3s | --> this is the intro it plays before the main menu starts

Your way of creating blurays with bdedit is amazing but would be a bit too intense for me to get into. As soon as I am able to get the main/chapter main movie replacement and the return to main menu instead of play/next/look I would be pretty fine with the tmpg solution.
regards

Ah okay. I loaded the test Blu-ray in PowerDVD again. This time I made sure to have the "Show Information" OSD element enabled. I see now. There it is. Title 6 (00005.m2ts) is playing on First playback just prior to the TOP MENU (00000.m2ts) playing. Title 6 is a blank screen for 3 seconds so I just thought the Main Menu was taking a while to load. Good deal. And interesting regarding Title 2. I was wondering why there's a duplicate of the feature presentation minus the POPUP MENU. Gotta say. That's just crazy. Strange that TMPG needs to do that in order to include a chapters menu.

That being said, I decided just for fun to take the core elements of the test Blu-ray and create the Blu-ray from scratch using BDedit. I'll have the Blu-ray finished later this evening. Have to step away for a few hours here soon. Once completed I'll post the end result so that you can check it out in BDedit. I'd recommend opening the original test Blu-ray in a second instance of BDedit so you look at the Blu-ray's side by side. My version of the Blu-ray reduces the number of Titles, MovieObjects and Navigation Commands to a significant degree while also including all the functionality you're looking for and then some.

Within the "BDMV\BACKUP" folder I'll be including an "ASSETS" folder. The directory structure of the "ASSETS" folder is shown below, a brief description of the contents provided.

ASSETS\BACKGROUND: Working files for the menu background video I created including a text file which outlines the steps I took to encode the image, author it to Blu-ray, then incorporating it into the target Blu-ray.
ASSETS\BDEDIT: An excel sheet and screenshot of the excel sheet which lists all the GPRs (variables) used for the Blu-ray and more importantly, what each GPR is used for. Also included are copies of the *.bdmv files for good measure in addition to 2 different versions of the Blu-ray menus (M2TS/CLPI/MNU files for each IG), a version that graphically mirrors the test Blu-ray provided retaining the original videos and a second version with updated menu graphics, the videos for the intro and feature presentation being replaced.
ASSETS\OBJECTS: Photoshop (PSD) file containing the mock-up I created of the Blu-ray menus, the various menu elements saved out from there as PNGs. Included will be sub-folders grouped by IG (99000=TOP MENU, 99001=POPUP MENU for Feature Presentation, 99002=POPUP MENU for Bonus Features). Each folder will contain the menu elements (PNGs) for the given IG, both after initial export from Photoshop and after processing the images through PNG Quantizer, a required step before the images can be successfully imported to the given IG using BDedit.
ASSETS\PNG_QUANTIZER: A copy of the PNG_Quantizer application and required DLL files for Windows 32-bit and 64-bit, a couple screenshots included for good measure, screenshots from the forums here outlining how to use the application.

And here's some details regarding the functionality of the Blu-ray...
The POPUP MENU for the Feature Presentation mirrors the TOP MENU, a "MAIN MENU" button taking the place of the "PLAY MOVIE" button. Navigating "DOWN" from the main level turns the POPUP MENU off. Navigating "UP" does nothing. Navigating "LEFT/RIGHT" wraps around at either end. While navigating the menus I store the page and button selected. (Page 1=Main | Page 2=Chapter | Page 3=Audio | Page 4=Bonus) When turning the POPUP MENU off then back on again you're automatically taken to the last page displayed for example, the appropriate button being selected based on the current state of the Blu-ray player. I also made the "AUDIO" menu option specific to the Feature Presentation, the current audio selection for the Feature Presentation being retained even after playing one of the bonus features from the TOP MENU or POPUP MENU.

But wait, there's more! With both versions of the Blu-ray I added 2 chapters to the "Feature Presentation", the "CHAPTER" menu option reflecting said additions. And fear not, I saved the best for last. When selecting the "BONUS" option from the TOP MENU or POPUP MENU the last bonus feature played is selected by default. If no bonus feature had been played yet the first of the bonus features is selected. For the bonus features I included a separate POPUP MENU, a menu that includes no visible menu items. When enabled you're automatically taken back where you had come from, i.e. the TOP MENU or Feature Presentation, playback resuming where you left off when returning to the Feature Presentation. And yes, if you're taken back to the TOP MENU after watching a bonus feature you'll land directly on the "BONUS" page, the bonus feature just played being selected by default. Are we having fun yet!

@Metal-HTPC

My rebuilding of your test Blu-ray is now available for download, here (569 MB). Included are 3 different versions. Well, it's one Blu-ray. The "METAL-HTPC\BDMV\BACKUP\ASSETS\BDEDIT" folder contains the files unique to each version of the Blu-ray offered. Details on each version provided below including installation instructions.

1. METAL-HTPC "ORIGINAL" | METAL-HTPC\BDMV\BACKUP\BDEDIT\ORIGINAL
This was my initial rebuild of your test Blu-ray. The images used for the menus were sourced from screenshots taken of the menu background videos. The screenshots were also used to create a version of the menu background that contained no textual elements.

2. METAL-HTPC "ORIGINAL (CLEAN)" | METAL-HTPC\BDMV\BACKUP\BDEDIT\ORIGINAL (CLEAN)
With this version I recreated the textual elements used for the menus rather than relying on the screenshots I had taken of the original menu background videos. The positioning of all textual elements remains the same as the original test Blu-ray.

3. METAL-HTPC "NEW" | METAL-HTPC\BDMV\BACKUP\BDEDIT\NEW
This version contains updated menu graphics throughout including the image used for the menu background video. The menu layout has changed as well. A couple of the videos were also replaced, the video that plays on First playback prior to being taken to the TOP MENU and the video for the feature presentation which is now a picture slideshow, 16 images total, each displayed for 2 minutes. Each picture is its own chapter. Chapter selection from the menus has been increased accordingly. The "PLAY MOVIE" option was also enhanced. If playback can be resumed a prompt is displayed providing for resuming playback or starting from the beginning.

To install a given version copy the CLIPINF, META, PLAYLIST and STREAM folders for that version pasting the folders to the "METAL-HTPC\BDMV" folder. Allow any contents to be overwritten when prompted. The "ORIGINAL" version of the Blu-ray outlined above is what's installed currently.

IMPORTANT NOTE: A mouse should not be used for menu navigation when playing the Blu-ray using a software based Blu-ray player. Navigating the Blu-ray menu using a mouse will break the Blu-ray menu. Important things happen as you navigate the Blu-ray menu. Those things only take place when menu navigation is done using a keyboard just as would be the case when using a Blu-ray player remote control.

And why not. Here's some screenshots of the "NEW" version of the test Blu-ray.

(The photographs used for the Feature Presentation and menu background video were taken by none other than Pel, the author of BDedit. To see more of Pel's amazing photography visit his website, here.)

PLAY MOVIE:

(Navigating "LEFT/RIGHT" wraps around at either end.)

RESUME:

(When activating the "PLAY MOVIE" option the above "RESUME" prompt is given if applicable, the "RESUME PLAYBACK" option being selected by default.)

AUDIO:

(The "AUDIO" option applies to the Feature Presentation only. The arrow to the left indicates which item is currently selected. The check mark to the right indicates which audio track is currently enabled. Also, the Feature Presentation in this case includes no audio. The audio options presented mirror the original version of the test Blu-ray. For testing purposes I added the audio tracks to the STN table of the new Playlist. As far as the Blu-ray player is concerned the audio tracks exist.)

BONUS:

(The bonus features presented mirror the original version of the test Blu-ray. The last bonus feature played is always selected by default. If no bonus feature has been played yet the first bonus feature is selected by default. While playing a bonus feature there is a POPUP MENU. The POPUP MENU in this case includes no visible menu items. When enabled you're automatically taken back where you had come from, i.e. the TOP MENU or Feature Presentation, playback resuming where you left off when returning to the Feature Presentation. Also, resuming playback of a given bonus feature was not implemented. I could have included the option, but decided not too.)

SCENE SELECTION:

(If playback of the Feature Presentation can be resumed the current chapter being played is selected by default. If playback of the Feature Presentation can't be resumed the first chapter is selected by default instead. There are a total of 16 chapters, navigation wrapping around at either end.)

POPUP MENU:

(The POPUP MENU mirrors the TOP MENU, a "MAIN MENU" button taking the place of the "PLAY MOVIE" button. The "MAIN MENU" button is optional however as I didn't restrict the TOP MENU function of the Blu-ray player. Navigating "DOWN" from the first level of the POPUP MENU pictured above will turn the POPUP MENU off. When turning the POPUP MENU on you're always taken to the last page displayed, the appropriate button being selected based on the current state of the Blu-ray player. When turning the POPUP MENU on for the first time you'll be taken to the "MAIN MENU" button. The last page displayed carries over when returning to the TOP MENU as well, but only with regards to the "SCENE SELECTION" and "BONUS" pages. All other scenarios result in the "PLAY MOVIE" button being selected when returning to the TOP MENU.)

This version of the Blu-ray borrows from the "Summer School (1987)" Blu-ray I created a couple years ago. A test version of that Blu-ray is available for download here for those interested in checking it out. The core BDMV structure is pretty much the same as the Blu-ray pictured above. With the "Summer School (1987)" Blu-ray there's a bit more going on though as the Blu-ray includes a "SUBTITLES" option in addition to enhanced resume functionality, playback of the Feature Presentation still able to be resumed even after having played a bonus feature from the TOP MENU. That was a fun one to figure out let me tell you! Good times, good times.

Thought I'd share my thoughts with everyone regarding an idea I've had for awhile now. I've got some time this week so I think I'm going to start working on this. See what I can come up with. My plan is to structure a Blu-ray in such a way that the attributes of the Blu-ray (Titles, MovieObjects, IG's) can be customized on-the-fly by assigning values to GPRs (variables) read on First playback under MovieObject 0. Based on the values assigned to the GPRs the Blu-ray would then meet the criteria you need, the provided documentation calling out the file numbering that should be used and how to add the IG's for the TOP MENU and POPUP MENU when integrating your videos with the Blu-ray.

GPRs and the value assigned to each could be used to customize the Blu-ray in a number of ways. The Blu-ray could offer both a horizontal and vertical arrangement for the TOP MENU for example. I could designate a GPR for each available menu option, the given menu option only being included if the GPR value is set to 1. I could additionally have a GPR for each menu option that determines the number of menu items the menu option should include, i.e. the number of audio tracks, subtitles, chapters, and bonus features. I'd set a maximum number available for each. Out the box the object (image) for each menu item position would have a generic naming, i.e. Audio 1, Audio 2, Audio 3 and serve as placeholders.

Within the "BACKUP" folder of the Blu-ray I could even include an image library which covers the gamut, i.e. language and format specific audio and subtitle options. Basic bonus feature selections, both singular and plural namings. Following the documentation that I provide one would just need to set the GPR values under MovieObject 0. The Blu-ray would then meet the technical criteria required. From there the applicable objects for each IG could be replaced is so desired, the positioning of the various menu elements updated as well if needed to account for whatever might be playing in the background from the TOP MENU. So what does everyone think? Going to give it a shot anyway. We'll see how it goes.

I think it's an excellent idea. It would also provide a lot of documentation into the structure of the blu-ray. I'm already looking forward to studying it and using the result.

Wow! Thanks for the detailed instructions, it's really a useful description.
At first I was quite surprised at what kind of Blu-ray disc my pictures are on...

Hi, I like the fact you can remove unwanted m2ts files from a mpls (playlist) this has helped me out very much. Would it be possible to remove the chapter file from the mpls file too?

I rebuilt that additional test Blu-ray you provided me the other day as I did for the initial one discussed above. A download link is available at the bottom of this post.

And here's a little something to wet your whistle, a few screenshots of the end result. Enjoy!

TOP MENU:

(Navigating "LEFT/RIGHT" wraps around at either end. Navigating "UP" or pressing "OK" takes you to the dedicated page for the given menu option. Navigating "DOWN" does nothing.)

PLAY MOVIE:

(When activating the "PLAY MOVIE" option the above "RESUME" prompt is given if applicable, the "Resume from where you left off" option being selected by default.)

CHAPTERS (1-6):

(If playback of the Feature Presentation can be resumed the current chapter will be selected by default. If playback of the Feature Presentation can't be resumed the first chapter is selected by default instead.)

CHAPTERS (7-12):

(The arrows to the left and right of the chapter thumbnails are used to navigate from "Chapters 1-6" to "Chapters 7-12" and vice versa. The arrows above and below the menu items throughout the Blu-ray are visual indicators only. If the given arrow is not greyed out navigation in that direction is available. Navigating "UP" is the same as pressing "OK", i.e. the same navigation commands assigned to the selected button are executed. Navigating "DOWN" takes you back to the last button selected on the previous page, in this case the "CHAPTERS" button.)

SETTINGS:

(The "SETTINGS" option applies to the Feature Presentation only. When accessing the option the current audio track will be selected by default. When activating an audio option the stream is set after which you're taken to the "RETURN" button. The "RETURN" button throughout the Blu-ray takes you back a level to the "START MOVIE" button or in the case of the POPUP MENU, the "MAIN MENU" button.)

BONUS:

(The last bonus feature played is always selected by default. If no bonus feature has been played yet the first bonus feature is selected by default. While playing a bonus feature there is a POPUP MENU. The POPUP MENU in this case includes no visible menu items. When enabled you're automatically taken back where you had come from, i.e. the "BONUS" page of the TOP MENU or Feature Presentation, playback resuming where you left off if returning to the Feature Presentation.)

POPUP MENU:

(Navigating "DOWN" from the first level of the POPUP MENU will turn the POPUP MENU off. When turning the POPUP MENU on you're always taken to the last page displayed, last button selected. In the case of the "CHAPTERS" and "SETTINGS" pages the button selected will always be based on the current state of the Blu-ray player. In the case of the "BONUS" page the button representing the last bonus feature played will be what's selected.)

I updated the "Angst" test Blu-ray provided to me by Metal-HTPC again today as I needed something to put BDedit through its paces with. I was trying out a version of BDedit I don't normally use so. The updated Blu-ray offers a cleaner navigation command structure. Should be easier to follow for the uninitiated. I also replaced the "Start Movie" button. It now reads, "Play Movie". The "Chapters" menu page and associated playlist was also updated, each chapter thumbnail now taking you to the moment pictured within the short 33 second video clip. In any event, just thought I'd chime in again for those interested. Download link is available at the bottom of my previous post. Enjoy!

I authored the movie, "Windtalkers (2002)" to Blu-ray yesterday using BDedit in combination with some other tools. The TOP MENU is pictured below, the graphics purposely confined to the 2.40:1 aspect ratio of the movie.

For additional details and pics see my post, here. At the bottom of the post I provide a download link to the Blu-ray, the feature presentation and theatrical trailer having been replaced, each video now displaying a single image. Within the "WINDTALKERS\BDMV\BACKUP\BDEDIT" folder I've included all my working files which should hopefully prove insightful. The "Readme.txt" file within that folder outlines the contents located there. Enjoy!

version 0.57b7 tab playlist , DV show sPID =0000. This is wrong ,right? It should be 1015.
When I use apply to clpi and save clpi, BDinfo show popup "Call from invalid thread" and can't show information. No problem when I use original clpi.

Looking forward to sharing the Blu-ray with everyone once it's completed. As a test case I decided to use my re-authoring of the "El Dorado" retail Blu-ray shown below. (See my post here for a full spread of screenshots.) The Blu-ray is slowly but surely transforming into what I envisioned. (See the quote of myself above.) Once completed I'll make a test version of the Blu-ray available. The test Blu-ray will be fully playable, each video having been replaced with a video of one or more images, dud audio and subtitle tracks included that way the Blu-ray can be fully tested, i.e. checking the OSD of the software based Blu-ray player confirming the audio and subtitle selections are what you expect them to be.

And here's a little look at the man behind the curtain so far, the current GPR definitions for the Blu-ray as seen from Excel and BDedit. Take particular note of the line items using a cyan fill color. These line items call out the GPRs and values available to assign to each under "MovieObject 0" which is run on First playback, the BDMV structure accommodating accordingly based on the values used. All line items using a yellow fill color reference GPRs reserved for use by the existing BDMV structure as the Blu-ray is being played. Notice also how the order presented within the excel sheet was mirrored when going to add the navigation commands in BDedit. Gotta love the symmetry.

For the past couple weeks I've been working on the core Blu-ray. With a solid foundation to work from now things will really start cooking. As the level of customization increases I'll update the above images as way for those interested to see the progress I'm making. Next time I'll touch on how the menu graphics work with the test Blu-ray I'll be providing. The required technique I employ eliminates what would normally be a tedious process given the manual nature of building a Blu-ray this way and offers numerous advantages over the common practices followed when using traditional Blu-ray authoring software. More on that for next time though. BDedit is calling my name again and we don't want to leave BDedit waiting now do we.

Beautiful ! Since you are approaching an universal authoring template here, would it be helpful if I supply some BD test structures generated from DVD Architect 7.0, and from TAW5, just for comparison ? You may tell your needs and suggestions. Maybe there is already a useful structure one can build upon.

Thanks. It's coming along nicely. In fact, since your reply here I've given my GPR numbering scheme a complete overhaul. (Updated pics available in my prior post.) It's much easier to follow now. As for BD test structures, I'm not sure whether it would be helpful or not. Traditional authoring applications don't concern themselves with whether someone is able to follow the raw BDMV structure as seen within BDedit. There's also no way to determine what all the GPRs are used for. I appreciate the offer though.

Lately the gmail server is blocking my emails in which I send the download links to the contributors.
If you did not receive the link, please write to me at pel@pel.hu.
The latest version is still 0.57b7, although some people are using 0.58 with bug fixes that they are testing.
Thank you in advance for the submitted bugs, if you find something that is not working properly, please let me know.
I am still working on 0.58, some functions are not fully implemented, I will send the link to all contributors of the past year when it is ready.
Thank you for your patience.

Universal Blu-ray Authoring Template, update on progress made.

I'm making excellent progress on my Universal Blu-ray Authoring Template, a phrase coined by Emulgator which I've adopted. See below for the current customization options available.

Current customization options...
• Set (GPR1) default audio stream.
• Set (GPR2) default subtitle stream and whether it should be enabled by default.
• Set (GPR60) default selected bonus feature.
• Set (GPR80/90/100/110/120/130) default selected bonus feature sub-menu item (Pages 8-13) if applicable.
• Set (GPR3000/3010) commentary feature access. Can be accessed from Page 1 (GPR3000) and Page 6 (GPR3010).
• Set (GPR15) play behavior on Page 1 to "begin playback immediately if playback can't be resumed" or "always display resume prompt."
• Set (GPR20) resume prompt attribute for Page 2 to "display resume prompt only" or "display resume prompt with overview." (Navigating "UP" from resume prompt turns overview off/on.)
• Set (GPR25) play behavior on Page 2 to "begin playback immediately if playback can't be resumed" or "always display resume or commentary prompt."
• Set (GPR75) commentary prompt attribute for Page 2 to "display commentary prompt only" or "display commentary prompt with overview." (Navigating "UP" from resume prompt turns overview off/on.)
• Set play attribute (GPR85/95/105/113/125/135) for Pages 8-13, each set of bonus feature sub-menu items set to play individual titles or chapters from same title.
• Set (GPR35) chapter selection from POPUP MENU to continue or restart playback from selected chapter.
• Set (GPR201-GPR207) number of menu items for Pages 1-7. (Navigation wraps around at extents accordingly.)
• Set (GPR208-GPR213) number of sub-menu items for a given bonus feature if applicable. (Navigation wraps around at extents accordingly.)
• Link (GPR302-GPR306) Pages 2-6 to menu items on Page 1. (Provides for arranging order of items to match what's seen on-screen.)
• Set menu items on Page 1 to jump (GPR302-GPR306) to a page or play (GPR311-GPR315) a title.
• Link (GPR601-GPR612) menu items on Page 6 (Bonus) to Titles (2-20).
• Link (GRP621-GPR632) up to 6 menu items on Page 6 (Bonus) to Pages 8-13 (Bonus feature sub-menu items).
• Link (GPR700-GPR720) the Top Menu (Title 0), Feature Presentation (Title 1) and Bonus Features (Titles 2-20) to Playlists (MPLS).
• Link each bonus feature sub-menu item (Pages 8-13) to a title. (GPR801-GPR816, GPR901-GPR916, GPR1001-GPR1016, GPR1101-GPR1116, GPR1201-GPR2115, GPR1301-1316)
• Set (GPR1900-GPR1913) navigation orientation (U/D/L/R) for Pages 1-13 to Horizontal, Vertical expanding right or Vertical expanding left.
• Set (GPR2000) audio stream selection behavior for Feature Presentation while on TOP MENU to "set stream just prior to leaving TOP MENU" or "set stream when making selection".
• Set (MovieObject 3 starting a Line 95) audio (GPR1) and subtitle (GPR2) streams for Titles 2-20. (Defaults for each title: First audio track with subtitles disabled, i.e. "Move GPR1, 1" and "Move GPR2, 0".)

All customization options detailed above simply involve assigning an IMM (decimal) value to the appropriate "Move" GPR command located under MovieObject 0 which is run on First playback. See my post a couple back from this one for a look at my current GPR definitions in Excel format in addition to MovieObject 0 from BDedit. The excel sheet calls out the available values in each case. (Changing the default audio/subtitle selection for a given bonus is done from MovieObject 3.)

The level of customization here also provides for integrating your source files (MPLS/M2TS/CLPI) without having to rename any of the files. In fact, you won't even need to update the IG (menu) references within your playlists (*.mpls) if you don't want to. Instead you can just rename my TOP MENU (99000.m2ts/clpi), POPUP MENU (99001.m2ts/clpi) for Feature Presentation, and POPUP MENU (99002.m2ts/clpi) for Bonus Features so that the numbering matches.

The last step once setting the GPR values and placing your source files in the appropriate directories will be to replace the existing objects (menu graphics) with your own. The process involved is very straightforward. I'll provide additional details on that including Photoshop tutorials once completing my work on the template. Time permitting I may even include a graphics library.

Also, the initial template out the box will (graphically) offer both horizontal and vertical menu layouts. My Photoshop (PSD) file will be included as well in addition to the actions used to automate the process of building and exporting the assets (images) for import as objects to the menus using BDedit. So that's all I've got for now. No ETA as of yet. It will be a couple more months for sure. When there's something of additional note to share I'll chime back in. Questions and comments welcome of course.
