That card has the VP2 decoding engine that you require.
You can test it using the CUVID server/client applications at my web site. They are not licensed. You can find them at the bottom of this page: http://neuron2.net/dgvc1decnv/dgvc1decnv.html Last edited by Guest; 1st January 2009 at 15:06. |

BTW I have a 9600GT (and Q6600 cpu/mobo) on-the-way so you sold another card and I'll be donating once the system's built! ![]() |

The table you mentioned is somewhat incomplete for checking VP2 availability since it doesn't separate between different GeForce 8800 models, some of which do have VP2. The Wikipedia article lists these and also some of the GPUs that have VP3, i.e. full hardware decoding of VC-1 streams (not that it matters much since DGVC1DecNV works fine with VP2). |

EDIT: I guess the wiki page *IS* complete assuming VP2 is the magic bullet. It's easy to get distracted by all the "PureVideo HD" qualifiers. Last edited by laserfan; 2nd January 2009 at 16:54. |

Version 1.0.2 test
Here is a test version of DGVC1IndexNV.
* Support new audio types on BluRay disks. * Improve audio delay calculation. Don't freak out if your machine ID changes. Your old license file will continue to work. New licenses, however, will use a new ID method that doesn't change when you reformat, boot a different partition, change drives, etc. http://neuron2.net/dgvc1decnv/DGVC1IndexNV102test.zip Feedback on this version will be appreciated. |

neuron, pls test this file; it doesn't work with 1.02_test while it works with 1.0.1.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/61lfv8 (btw, eac3to doesn't recognize this file) Cut made via clip.exe as is. |
