HQ deinterlacer recommendations/comparisons?

Hi. I've been doing some research on deinterlacing and found myself unable to understand the difference between the filters labeled as high quality (MVBob, MCBob, etc.). I mean there certainly is some difference, but it's hard for me to compare because I'm not well-familiar with deinterlacing artifacts so I can't really tell which of them restores better.

So the questions are:

1) how do the high quality full-framerate (i.e., no framerate conversion) deinterlacers compare to each other? What's the main difference between them?

2) Which would be the one recommended to use if processing speed was completely disregarded (e.g., max possible quality)?

3) Is there a chance for a quick comparison table like the one found in this thread?

Thank you.
