AVC vs HEVC
Morning....i'm a newbie.
i have a question about AVC and HEVC....is the video quality drops in HEVC even if at smaller rate?...i watched many videos in AVC and HEVC...HEVC provide videos in small size with the same resolution as AVC. But there's also video quality drop as i see in them.

Hi kirito
I am no expert but i think I know what you mean. What PDR say is tru. Both are lossy compression software. Much of the result depends on what you put in setting of either encoder. In general if all settings roughly same, HEVC can give smaller files but many seem to think AVC gives better detail unless using expertly tuned settings in HEVC. HEVC is more intensive on computer than AVC( so avc is comparatively faster ). |
