A good media catalog tool with thumbnail support please
I have all my CDs catalogued with Were is it?
But actually this software fails totally generating video thumbnails on windos 7 (for me) specially with mkv files, and have some other problems that anoy me a little. Well: Does anyone knows how to improve thumbnail generation on where is it? (with special interest on mkv)? Or: Anyone knows a good media cataloguer that can extract video thumbnails and info (resolution, tracks, codecs, etc) from the most important video formats and pictures (jpg, png, etc). Also, if its able to scan inside compresed files it will be very good. Any recomendation?

I use "ThumbGen" for all my movies, it also does music as well.
I use it to generate movie sheets, thumbnails, info, etc, to display on my media player. It uses Mediainfo to gather the info from my movies, AR, Container, audio format, bitrate, etc, etc, so I don't see any reason why it should not do that for music. Its free anyway, so you've got nothing to lose |
